    Jism (2003)


    Jism (Hindiजिस्म, Jism ?; English: Body) is a 2003 Indian erotic thriller film edited and directed by Amit Saxena, written by Mahesh Bhatt, produced by Pooja Bhatt and Sujit Kumar Singh under the banner Fish Eye Network [P] Ltd and Shreya Creations, which starred Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, the latter making his début in Bollywood films. The music for the film was scored by M. M. Keeravani. Jism ranked 92 in the top 100 sexiest movie scenes poll conducted by Channel 4. The film is essentially a remake of "Body Heat," which was, in turn, a looser rehash of Billy Wilder's well-known 1944 movie Double Indemnity, which was an actually improved version of James Cain's novel, Double Indemnity.

Keeravani, art direction by R. Ravindar, cinematography by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film was released to critical and commercial acclaim. The film was dubbed and released in Malayalam as Dheera— The Warrior and in Tamil as Maaveeran. Magadheera collected a worldwide share of 78.1 crore (US$13 million) making it one of the highest grossing Telugu movies of all time. The movie is being remade in Bengali as Yoddha - The Warrior .

And this film has a lot of resemblance with south-Korean movie Mr. Socrates which was released in November 2005. The film was a big flop.

    Paheli (Devanagari: पहेली, English: Riddle) is a Bollywood fantasy film, which released in India on 24 June 2005. It is a remake of the 1973 Hindi movie Duvidha. It was directed by Amol Palekar and produced by Juhi Chawla, Aziz Mirza, Sanjiv Chawla and Shahrukh Khan, who also plays the male lead. Paheli is based on the short story written by Vijayadan Detha and tells the story of a wife (Rani Mukerji) who is left by her husband (Shahrukh Khan) and visited by a ghost, disguised as her husband, who is in love with her and takes her husband's place. Sunil Shetty, Juhi Chawla, Rajpal Yadav and Amitabh Bachchan have supporting roles in the film. The story has been previously adapted into film, Duvidha (1973) by Mani Kaul.

Co-produced by Disney World Cinema with veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao at a budget of INR 270 million, it stars Siddharth, Shruti Haasan, in her Telugu debut, and Harshita as protagonists with Lakshmi Manchu making her debut in a negative role. The film features musical score by Salim-Sulaiman, an ensemble soundtrack by Salim-Sulaiman, M. M. Keeravani, Koti and Mickey J Meyer, while cinematography and editing are handled by Soundar Rajan and Sravan Katikaneni, respectively. Prasad Devineni of Arka Media Works is the Line producer of the movie.

It was declared a hit at the box office and ran for 150 days. Music by M.M. Keeravani is an asset to this film. The movie is loosely based on the Hollywood film Splash.

This film is a remake of American crime drama film, Scarface but changes were made by Rajamouli to suit Telugu audience.

    Vedam (Chant) is a 2010 Telugu drama film written and directed by Krish, starring Allu Arjun, Manoj Kumar Manchu, Anushka Shetty, Manoj Bajpai, Saranya Ponvannan, Deeksha Seth, Lekha Washington, and Siya Gautham. Krish later remade the film in Tamil as Vaanam (2011), with Anushka and Saranya reprising their roles.

According to an article in The Times of India, "Despite mixed record tendered by critics, the acceptable storyline and script work, the thrills and stunts, the gyrations of choreography by Allu Arjun have lured the audience to the screens." The Movie has been Dubbed in Hindi as "Sangharsh Aur Vijay."
