The group's original bassist was Chi Cheng, whose time with the band ended after he became comatose from a 2008 car accident and died in 2013. On March 23rd it was announced that the original lineup of Mest (Tony Lovato, Jeremiah Rangel, Matt Lovato, and Nick Gilger) would be getting back together. It was announced that they were going to play a reunion show at the House of Blues Anaheim. A Reunion Tour is currently in the works.

The band has released two albums, the second without Taylor-Firth. Their 1996 single "You're Not Alone" reached number one in the UK singles chart.

A serious motorcycle accident while editing on Mission: Impossible II kept him off the film in its final stage and put Mr. Ciccone on physical disability for almost a year. This prevented him from capitalizing on his sophomore effort as co-picture editor of the highest grossing film of 2000. Other credits include, Domino (film), Illegal Tender, Hisss, and Sleeping Dogs (video game)
