    Ghasem Amir Yavarkandi (Persian: قاسم امیر یاورکندی, born December 5, 1931 Tehran) also known as Amir Yavari, was a member of Iran senior national Boxing team, and Tehran Jafari Club, boxing in the 67, and 71 kg divisions. He participated as team captain of the Iranian boxers at the 1958 Asian Games, in the Light-middleweight division, and also at the 1960 Summer Olympics, in the Welterweight division, and was also selected for the Light-middleweight division of the Iranian national boxing team, to participate in the 1962 Asian Games. In Tokyo 1958, Yavari won the silver medal of the 71 kg boxing division, after losing on points to Osamu Takahashi from Japan in the final.
